In Stock This Week: H13, 1.2344, D2, 1.2379 — 1000 tons Ready to Ship

Every die shop knows the pain: a tool cracks on Friday, and the mill quotes six to ten weeks for replacement steel. The fastest fix is a supplier who already has the bar on the floor.

This week we are publishing our current warehouse stock — more than 1000 tons of hot-work and cold-work tool steel round bar, plus machined plates, stored at our Huangshi warehouse (Hubei, central China). Data as of 13 October 2026; the list is updated weekly.

What is in stock this week

H13 / 1.2344 — hot work tool steel

The most requested hot-work grade in our warehouse: 18 sizes from Φ13 to Φ100 mm, all turned (machined) finish except Φ55, which also holds black bar. The deepest stock sits in the sizes die makers actually use — Φ50 mm (5.9 t), Φ32 mm (6.3 t) and Φ13 mm (5.7 t). For larger dies, turned rounds run up to Φ500 mm, and peeled rounds are available up to Φ420 mm. Machined plates from 50 to 305 mm thick are ready for direct machining.

D2  — cold work tool steel

42.6 tonnes across 29 sizes from Φ10 to Φ75 mm — about 24.2 t in turned (machined) finish and 18.3 t in black (as-rolled). 314 pieces of turned rounds (Φ14 – 70 mm) are available for immediate cut-to-length.

1.2379  — cold work tool steel

30.7 tonnes across 22 turned sizes (Φ10 – 65 mm; Φ20 and Φ25 also hold black bar), plus 611 pieces of turned rounds covering Φ70 – 420 mm — the widest large-diameter cold-work range we hold. Machined plates from 45 to 260 mm thick are in stock for block die applications.

A note on grade names

H13, 1.2344 and SKD61 refer to the same family of hot-work steel; D2 and 1.2379are the equivalent cold-work grades. We stock them separately by composition standard — tell us which standard your drawing calls for (AISI, DIN, JIS or GB), and we will match the heat and supply the mill test certificate with your shipment. 3. Cut-to-length, export packing and shipment — standard sizes ship without waiting for mill production
